The Speaker of the National Assembly, Peter Katjavivi, delivered an address at the 75th Commonwealth Day Commemorations in London, United Kingdom. 

In his speech, Professor Katjavivi called for collective action, urging nations to confront challenges with courage and determination.

Professor Katjavivi emphasised the importance of fostering an environment where every voice is heard and valued in shaping the common future of the Commonwealth.

He stated that this year's theme resonated deeply with Namibia, reflecting aspirations for a resilient future achieved through unity and innovation.

The event was attended by various guests, including Sir Lindsay, Speaker of the United Kingdom House of Commons, Speakers from various Commonwealth Parliaments, all Commonwealth High Commissioners, Members of Parliament, schoolchildren, and the public.

Professor Katjavivi expressed gratitude to all attendees for their unwavering commitment to shared values, contributing to the enduring legacy of the Commonwealth.
