The 11th season of the corporate volleyball league is set to begin at the end of April. Just like many other teams in the league, the NBC Volleyball team has been working hard to ensure their level of fitness is on point for the new season.

Last year, the NBC volleyball team finished in 10th position on the log standings. According to the team's representative who spoke during a recent training session, they aim to up their game this year.

They are also keen on maintaining the team's objectives of ensuring that employees stay healthy and bond as an organization.

NBC talked to the team's captain, Josephina Shikongo, about the team's fitness level and their expectations.

The league has grown significantly over the past 10 years, expanding from 16 teams to 26. More corporate entities continue to join every season.

The league organizers also established a volleyball academy this year to develop aspiring under 13, 15 & 18 players into professional volleyball athletes.

The league's opening games will take place at Academia High School's sports grounds in Windhoek, and the season is expected to conclude on the 3rd of August.
