Namibia Sports Commission's Freddy Mwiya hails Team Namibia's success at the 13th African Games as the most fruitful in terms of medals.

With a total of 10 medals, the team's preparation across various sports contributed to their achievements in Accra, Ghana.

The majority of medals were secured by swimmers, with cyclists also earning a silver.

Athletics claimed two bronze, wrestling one, and Cricket added a silver to the tally.

Namibia's consistent presence at the African Games since 1991 has culminated in their best performance in Accra, according to Mwiya.

Following the conclusion of the 13th African Games, Mwiya discussed the reward policy.

Gold medalists receive N$50,000 silver and bronze winners get N$30,000 and N$20,000  respectively.

Team sports silver medalists receive N$300,000 and both team and individual sport coaches will also be acknowledged.
