South Africa asserted dominance in the Zone 6 Beach Volleyball first leg, with both their men's and women's teams emerging victorious in the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) Zone 6 Beach Volleyball Tours held at the DTS Sport grounds in Windhoek, the capital city.

In the men's matches, the South African team, comprising Danilo and Guther, secured the first set by a score of 21-17 against Botswana. Guther, whose exceptional defensive blocks played a pivotal role. However, Botswana's representatives, Jack and Baleofi, rallied in the second set, winning it 21-16. 

The intense final set saw South Africa clinching the gold medal with a score of 15-13. Danilo expressed his appreciation for the tournament, highlighting his awe at the facilities at DTS.

Team Botswana's Jack mentioned playing alongside an inexperienced player, Baleofi, and despite giving his best effort, they fell short of claiming gold. Baleofi, however, expressed delight at the experience gained during the competition.

In the women's category, the South African team, consisting of Turica and Tatiana, secured the gold by defeating Lesotho's Tolofi and Chapole in straight sets. 

The first set ended 21-17 in favour of South Africa, while the second set was closely contested, with South Africa emerging victorious with a score of 22-20. 

The South African players expressed satisfaction with their victory, noting the high level of competition throughout the weekend. The Lesotho team attributed their failure to win gold to defensive lapses but commended Namibia for organizing the competition.
