President Nangolo Mbumba says the government and Namibians at large stand with Kenyans as they mourn the tragic deaths of the Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, General Francis Ogolla, and nine other military officers. 

General Ogolla and the military officials died following a helicopter crash around Elgeyo Marakwet County on Thursday.

Only two people survived the crash and are in critical condition and undergoing treatment.

President Mbumba extended a message of condolence to his counterpart, President William Ruto, the bereaved families, and the people of Kenya during this difficult hour of grief.

President Ruto said Kenya has lost one of its most valiant generals, gallant officers, servicemen, and women in the line of duty.

The Kenyan President declared an observance of three days of mourning commencing on Friday.
