Total Energies has awarded three start-up entrepreneurs N$132,000 to boost their business.

Total Energies has a Start-Upper Project that empowers young entrepreneurs while also providing a platform to showcase innovative ideas and solutions.

This is vital for fostering economic growth and development across Africa.

The project focuses on celebrating entrepreneurial skills in 32 countries in Africa, and this year marks the fourth edition.

The entrepreneurs were awarded in three categories, namely, Verna Xoagus in the cycle 'up, Sondaha Mutji in Innov'up, and Alfred Muifi in the power'up category.

The entrepreneurs were selected from 300 participants who entered the competition, 15 of whom were shortlisted, and three were ultimately chosen as winners.

The Managing Director of Total Energies Marketing Namibia, Naftal Kakwambi, mentioned that the project aims to recognize young entrepreneurs, helping them grow and sustain their businesses.

He added that the project's goal is to create employment opportunities for the youth, fostering economic growth and innovation.

One of the winners, Sondaha Mutji  who is in the  business of  biogas and energy for rural communities says it was not an easy journey.

The initiative supports young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35 and has thus far supported twelve young entrepreneurs since its inception.
