In a night filled with high-octane boxing action at Ramatex in Windhoek, Namibia's Fillipus "Energy" Nghitumbwa defeated China's DeKang Wang in a closely contested match for the WBO Super Bantamweight title.

The bout was part of a special tribute boxing event, honoring the late President Dr. Hage Geingob at Ramatex in Windhoek.

In a thrilling main event, Nghitumbwa faced Wang in a 12-round battle that kept both Namibian and Chinese fans on the edge of their seats.

The boxing match started with Nghitumbwa dominating the first four rounds. However, Wang found his rhythm from the fifth round onward, delivering powerful hits that challenged the defending champion.

Despite this, Nghitumbwa didn't back down, matching Wang's punches with his own, leading to an intense back-and-forth throughout the fight.

In the end, the fight went the full 12 rounds, with both boxers unable to secure a knockout.

When the final bell rang, the judges unanimously scored the fight 116-112 in Nghitumbwa's favor, confirming his victory and retaining his WBO Super Bantamweight title.
