Ester Abraham, who is currently training at the After School Centre in Katutura, is one of the successful Wrestlers who has recently obtained two medals from the 13th African Games and the African Continental championship.
Abraham's goal is to train with high-performance countries in Europe to pursue her career aspirations and dreams.
Ester Abraham, now a 20-year-old Namibia Institute of Science and Technology student, is appealing for a sponsor to assist her in achieving her dream of pursuing a Wrestling career in Europe.
Abraham informed Nbc that she is the only girl training in the freestyle category with boys.
Recently, Abraham competed at the 13th African games hosted in Ghana, where she won a silver medal.
Later, she participated in a competition in Tunisia for the Africa championship, where she won a bronze medal.
Abraham is seeking a sponsor to support her training in Europe, as they have quality facilities.
" I need some training outside the country, which requires sponsorship. Maybe I can get some sponsorship to train more in high-level countries like the United States of America, France, and Cuba. I will be thankful because it is going to work; mostly I am training with guys because I am a specialist in freestyle, while they are quarrymen, which I am a freestyle wrestler. The coach tries his level best, but it is impossible in Namibia," Abraham said.
Currently, she is preparing for the upcoming event, the Olympic qualifiers in May, as they are traveling to Turkey.
