The Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP) plans on making a strong comeback in the 2024 general elections.

Its president, Kandy Nehova, announced that the RDP will be returning to the polls, expressing the party's commitment to contributing to Namibia's future.

"As you are aware, this year in 2024, in November, Namibians will go to the polls to elect the leadership of the country for the next 5 years. The election will include the president and the national assembly. Next year, there will be elections for the regional and local authorities. It's against this background that I have invited you to inform you, and through you, to inform the Namibian nation and others about the position of the RDP vis-à-vis these elections."

Nehova says the RDP's return signals a renewed focus on democratic participation and a commitment to the political landscape of Namibia.
