The Richelieu Eagles all-rounder, Ruben Trumplemann, says that the game against Oman, which they won by eleven runs in the super over, was a great team performance.
The Richelieu Eagles continued their fine form of never having lost their opening games at a T20 World Cup with another excellent performance against Oman in their opening game in Group B in Bridgetown, Barbados on Monday.
Like in any World Cup, Championship, or tournament, winning your opening game gives the team a good springboard to build on.
Trumplemann, who was the star performer with the ball, described the game as exceptional as they took three early wickets in the power play, which is crucial.
He says that the team's overall bowling performance was top-notch from the spinners, who controlled the mid overs and picked up crucial wickets, while the likes of Tangeni Lungameni supported throughout the middle overs and back end.
However, Trumplemann says that batting was a bit of a struggle as they did not have a good tempo going, but once they did, the team looked good and put on runs.
He described his incredible performance with the ball as a great achievement for him.
The Richelieu Eagles was in action again on the 06th june against Scotland, and Trumplemann says that they will be going into that game to pick up wickets and get a result.
The game started at 21:00 Namibian time, followed by their third game against pre-tournament favorites Australia on 12th June.
