Deep Yellow Limited, in partnership with its subsidiary Reptile Mineral Resources and Exploration, reaffirms its dedication to community development with a recent donation of sports gear worth N$21,100 to Future Stars Hockey and Game Changer programs.

This donation is dedicated to supporting the Future Stars Hockey and Game Changer programs, two initiatives aimed at nurturing young talent and fostering a love for sports among underprivileged youth in Swakopmund.

The Future Stars Hockey program, hosted at the MTC Dome in Swakopmund, is an exciting venture catering to 20 boys and girls from Swakopmund Primary School, aged between nine and ten years old.

Twice a week, these enthusiastic young athletes engage in training sessions focused on developing their hockey skills.

Since its inception, the Future Stars Hockey program has witnessed remarkable progress among its participants.

The children, buoyed by the support of dedicated coaches and a nurturing environment, are growing more confident and skilled with each session.

The ultimate goal of this initiative is to prepare these budding athletes for the K5 Indoor World Cup scheduled for the first quarter of 2025 in Windhoek, where they will have the opportunity to showcase their talents on a larger stage.

In addition to hockey, RMR's support extends to the Game Changers netball program, which currently engages 21 girls from underprivileged backgrounds.

these girls, comprising three teams, undergo training sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays at the MTC Dome netball courts.

Through the dedicated efforts of the Game Changers and their coaches, significant transformations have been observed in these young athletes.

From learning essential life skills to fostering a sense of teamwork and respect, the Game Changers program aims to equip these girls for success both on and off the court.

The donation consists of 20 Indoor Hockey sticks, 30 balls, and 22 t-shirts for Future Stars, along with two mobile netball posts for the Game Changers.
