The Ondangwa Sport Stadium's phase two construction continues with the latest updates focusing on the boundary wall, ticket booth, and drainage system.
With the groundbreaking ceremony completed last week, phase two of the multi-million dollar Sport Stadium construction continues at the site in Ondangwa.
Construction is nearing completion on the priority areas of the boundary wall, drainage system, and ticket booth.
The Ondangwa Town Council envisions the stadium as a high-performance center with a gym and other complementary services to accommodate and support various sport activities in the region.
Nbc Sport caught up with Petrus Shipanga, the Ondangwa Town Council Manager of Infrastructure, Planning, and Technical Services, to shed more light on the latest updates on the project.
So far, the Ondangwa Town Council has committed a total of N$60 million towards the project. The stadium is expected to be completed in the next five years at a total cost of approximately N$240 million Namibia dollars.
