The Third Ordinary Session of the Sixth Legislature of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) is set to take place from the 24th of June to July 5, 2024, in Midrand, South Africa. 

This session will be held under the African Union's theme for 2024, "Educating an Africa Fit for the 21st Century: Building Resilient Education Systems for Increased Success in Inclusive, Quality, and Relevant Lifelong Learning in Africa."

The Pan-African Parliament aims to provide a common platform for African peoples and grassroots organisations to engage in discussions and decision-making processes on the continent's pressing challenges and issues.

Namibia will be represented by five parliamentarians serving on various committees, highlighting the country's active participation and contribution to the Pan-African Parliament. 

According to Article 4 of the Protocol, each national parliament is represented by five members, including at least one woman, reflecting the political diversity of each national parliament or deliberative body. Article 5 mandates that Pan-African Parliamentarians are elected or designated by their respective national parliaments.
