Zimbabwe dominated the U19 Capricorn Eagles in the ongoing T20 Series as the visitors completed a convincing six nil whitewash.

The U19 Capricorn Eagles entered yesterday's match trailing Zimbabwe 4-0 after the visitors dominated the hosts with both bat and ball to take a commanding lead at the HP Oval.

Zimbabwe won the opening match by 96 runs and followed it up with a 103-run victory.

They continued their winning streak by winning the third and fourth matches, sealing the series with two matches to spare.

In Saturday's fifth match, Zimbabwe batted first and continued their excellent form, putting runs on the scoreboard easily.

The Zimbabwean batters once again surpassed the 100-run mark, concluding their innings at 151 for the loss of 3 wickets.

The U19 Capricorn Eagles faced another tough chase as the Zimbabwean bowlers continued their dominance, taking wickets consistently. As wickets kept falling, the U19 Capricorn Eagles were eventually bowled out for 55 runs, giving Zimbabwe a 96-run victory and an insurmountable 5-0 lead.

Traver Garwe, Coach of Zimbabwe U19s, expressed satisfaction with his team's performance, highlighting that the players executed the game plan effectively.

Francois van der Merwe, Coach of U19 Capricorn Eagles, acknowledged that his team had been tested in all aspects of the game, viewing it as valuable lessons for his players.

The Zimbabweans received ample support from their fans, including Ambassador Melody Chaurura from Zimbabwe.

The U19 Capricorn Eagles utilized the series as warm-up matches for the upcoming U19 Cricket World Cup qualifiers in Rwanda in August, while Zimbabwe, having already qualified for the U19 World Cup, used the series to provide valuable game time to their players.
