The draw for the Total Energies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2025, took place today in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Forty-eight African countries are vying to qualify for the 35th edition of this prestigious tournament.
Twelve groups were drawn, each featuring four teams.
Namibia finds itself in Group J alongside African powerhouse Cameroon, Kenya, and Zimbabwe.
Interestingly, the Brave Warriors have faced two of these teams in the last edition's qualifiers. Who can forget that famous victory against the Indomitable Lions in Johannesburg on March 28, 2023, after a 1-1 draw in Yaoundé just four days earlier?
Host Morocco has been drawn into Group B, while reigning champions Côte d'Ivoire will compete in Group G.
The qualifiers kick off in September 2024 and wrap up in November 2024. The AFCON finals will be held in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
