Former All People's Party (APP) Secretary General Vincent Kanyetu has joined the mix of political parties contesting in the upcoming National Assembly and Presidential Elections with the launch of a new political party, the Action Democratic Movement (ADM), in Windhoek.

Kanyetu is the interim president of ADM, with a team of interim national leaders alongside him. 

According to the party's constitution, as seen by nbc News, the party's formation aims to address the evolving political and social needs of Namibians, focusing on empowering citizens as independent owners of natural resources, eradicating poverty and discrimination, and promoting equitable resource distribution. 

ADM also advocates for a robust social welfare system, free and fair elections, inclusive representation, and sustainable socio-economic growth controlled by Namibian communities.

The political landscape in Namibia is poised for a dynamic shift as the November polls approach, with a significant increase in the number of political parties and independent candidates expected to contest. 

Adding to the political buzz, the Affirmative Repositioning Movement (AR) recently announced its registration as a political party. Furthermore, freelance journalist Frans Koolike declared his intention to run as an independent candidate, joining the likes of Ally Angula on the ballot.
