Brave Warriors head coach Collin Benjamin has been named the best coach of the group stage in the ongoing COSAFA Cup in South Africa.

The Brave Warriors head coach started the tournament with a 0-0 draw against Angola, followed by victories over Lesotho (2-1) and Seychelles (3-1), steering his team to the semifinals of the regional competition.

This achievement convinced the competition organizers to recognize him as the best coach of the group stage.

Additionally, three Brave Warriors players were selected in the group stage's best team, further highlighting Namibia's success in the competition. The selected players are striker Bethuel Muzeu, midfielder Romeo Kasume, and defensive stalwart and captain Charles Hambira.

Under Benjamin's guidance, the Brave Warriors previously reached the final of the COSAFA Cup in 2022, where they were defeated by Zambia.

The COSAFA tournament, which began on the 26th of last month, concludes this weekend with the final scheduled for Sunday.
