Construction at the Eenhana Sport Stadium shows progress with the completion of netball, basketball, and volleyball courts in the last two months.

The Eenhana Multi-Purpose Sport Stadium, launched in 2009 to address the lack of proper sporting facilities in the Ohangwena Region, is showing signs of progress.

Since our last visit in September 2023, the stadium progress was minimal.

However, since May 2024, progress has been evident with the completion of three new courts - netball, basketball, and volleyball - along with a dressing room expected to be finished by October.

Ohangwena Regional Sport Officer Paulina Kasheeta-Mutilifa acknowledges the current challenges but expresses satisfaction with the recent progress.

She also applauds the patience and understanding of the Namibian nation and Ohangwena residents as they strive for project completion by early 2025.

While an early 2025 completion is the target, the exact opening date for public use remains unclear.
