Special Olympics Namibia is currently conducting a 3-day Motor Activities Training Program led by Special Olympics Kenya's Sports Director Njuguna Vincent Mungai, accompanied by William Masina from Special Olympics Africa.

Namibia is hosting the training for the first time, joining Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa, which have previously hosted the event.

The Motor Activities Training Program is aimed at preparing athletes, including those with severe or profound intellectual disabilities and significant physical disabilities, for sport-specific activities that match their ability levels.

The Sports Director from Special Olympics Kenya, who is leading the workshop, provided an overview of the program, which is currently underway.

Special Olympics Africa representative William Masina underlined the program's importance to athletes.Thirty participants from the Khomas Region are attending the training.
