Newly-crowned Miss Namibia, Prisca Anyolo, says the coveted beauty pageant title comes with responsibility. 

Miss Namibia 2023, Jameela |Uiras crowned her successor at a glitzy event at the Luderitz Waterfront, where ten contestants competed for the national crown.

Former Miss Namibia 2021 finalist, Anyolo, is a make-up artist and media personality.

A year ago, she launched her own make-up company.

Her advocacy initiative focuses on poverty eradication through the implementation of sustainable gardens in impoverished communities. 

Anyolo previously scooped other beauty contest titles, including Miss Rude, Miss High School, and University Queen.

Lenna Mugenga is the first runner-up, while Georgia Garises secured the second runner-up spot. 

Miss Namibia CEO Umbi Karuaihe-Upi says the annual beauty contest is for the benefit of all Namibians.

De Beers Marine Namibia is the main sponsor of Miss Namibia, a brand fully owned by the nbc.
