It's high time that churches stand up and actively participate in educating eligible voters to take part in the upcoming elections.

These were the words of the Executive Chairperson of the Christian Coalition of Churches, Shirley Magazi, during a discussion with youth on election matters.

Magazi said the church has a civic duty and responsibility to urge Namibians to register before the process concludes on August 1.

Speaking as a youth representative, Noah Anderson said some young people opt not to register due to what they perceive as a lack of accountability and transparency.

However, Anderson urged young people to go out to register and take part in elections.
