Pedel Tennis has made its debut in Namibia, introducing a dynamic new sport that combines elements of traditional tennis with a unique pedal-powered twist.
Pedal tennis, a sport that originated in Mexico over two decades ago and has spread throughout Europe, was introduced in Namibia in April this year.
Dylan Alexander, the General Manager of Namibia Padel Tennis, described Padel Tennis and highlighted its status as one of the fastest-growing sports worldwide.
Alexander explained that Padel Tennis is a four-player game with two players per team, and points are scored if the opponent hits the ball directly against the glass or fails to return it.
He also noted that anyone interested in taking up the sport can download the Namibia Padel Tennis app or check their social platforms for updates and information.
