As the countdown to the CAF Women's Champions League COSAFA 2024 qualifiers begins, FC Ongos Ladies are ramping up their preparations in Namibia ahead of the tournament in Blantyre, Malawi, from August 15-24.

The team hosted Ongos Football Day at UNAM Stadium over the weekend, facing off against Khomas Nampol and Ramblers from the Women's Super League.

This served as both intensive training and a player evaluation opportunity.

FC Ongos is set to make history as the first Namibian women's team to participate in the continental competition twice, having previously competed as Tura Magic in the inaugural 2021 event.

The reigning champions of the First National Bank Women's Super League are intensifying training with the goal of qualifying for the CAF Champions League and representing the Southern region alongside 2023 champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies.

Ongos Ladies have been drawn into Group A alongside Herentals Queens, University of Western Cape, and Green Buffaloes.
