Some vendors from Rundu Open Market admitted that even though they are entrepreneurs, they still lack financial discipline.
This realisation prompted Prince and Pemba Investments, a local business, to provide the vendors with financial management skills for free.
The Rundu Open Market is full of activities with vendors selling a variety of goods and services.
But there is a challenge experienced by a number of them, as they find it difficult to manage their finances.
Prince and Pemba Investment CC then approached the vendors to apply for an eighth-month financial management training, and 17 vendors were selected.
A graduation ceremony was held to mark their new era in financial discipline.
Rundu Rural Councillor Paulus Mbangu applauded the vendors for their willingness to learn more.
