Boxer Mirjam Nghilongwa, who began her boxing journey in 2017 with Salute Boxing Academy, is dreaming big as she sets her sights on Olympic glory.
Born in 1997 in Okankolo, Mirjam Nghilongwa's passion for boxing was sparked by her older brothers. Today, that dream has become a defining part of her journey.
Since joining Salute Boxing Academy in 2017, Nghilongwa has competed in numerous local and international tournaments, steadily building her reputation in the ring.
She's also balancing her academic career, currently in her final year at the International University of Management, where she is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, and Management.
While her academic commitments are significant, her long-term goal remains clear: to represent Namibia at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
Her brother, Immanuel Nghilongwa, reflected on Mirjam's determination, saying he always knew she was driven to succeed, especially in boxing.
Known in the ring as the "Pretty Assassin," Mirjam is not only focused on her career but also deeply connected to her family, never forgetting her roots and always remaining humble.
