For the continuity of its sponsorship of the Debmarine Namibia Premiership, Debmarine Namibia has stipulated certain conditions that the NFA must meet.

These conditions are outlined in a letter from the company that was leaked to the public on social media .

Debmarine Namibia is demanding that the Namibia Premier football League operate independently, improve the company's branding visibility, provide free access to matches for the company's board of directors, management, and staff, and establish a joint committee to foster a stronger working relationship between the two entities.

The Diamond company is also demanding that the teams in the league be involved in discussions and decision-making processes.

Commenting on this, sport analyst and veteran journalist Carlos Kambaekwa observed that sponsors have the right to set reasonable conditions as they are the providers of funding.

"There is a saying that the beggar can't be a chooser. While I don't fully agree with sponsors dictating every detail, it is their money. After all, you can't bite the hand that feeds you. However, I concur with the notion that an independent Premier League is not solely about who runs it; it's about the overall structure of our football. We need an independent top league, and it must remain independent. There is always a right way to do things, but now the question is: why are we not following that path anymore? We are aware of the events that led to the league's dismantling and why it was disbanded. We know the problem, but now football has stabilized. Let's return to normal; what's stopping us” Kambaekwa said.

Contacted for comment, NFA.'s executive council director Cassius Moetie said the association is confident that they will reach an agreement with Debmarine.

Meanwhile, on the court case brought against NFA by the Namibia Correctional Service Football Club, Moetie said NFA condemns the leaking of the letter to social media.

According to NFA the League will resume at a date yet to be announce.
