The Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) says it is the only one that has shown political maturity, ability, and ideological bearing to become the alternate governing party.

Its leader, McHenry Venaani, said this at a star rally at Keetmanshoop.

Venaani assured members and supporters that PDM will break the cycle of unemployment and reduce the housing backlog to at least 30%.

PDM, said Venaani, will allocate a plot to each and every Namibian and transform the country into a manufacturing hub.

If elected, the party will also invest 10% of the country's GDP into the agriculture sector to stimulate the economy and create job opportunities.

"The Popular Democratic Movement stands ready to lead our country Namibia into a new dawn, into a new epoch of egalitarian principles devoid of corruption, economic inequality, and disenfranchisement. We envision and endeavour to bring about a Namibia where each individual feels a sense of belonging and confidence in knowing that their government is working for them because we will."

Venaani called on the electorate to vote for change in the upcoming national elections, which he described as an election for economic emancipation.

"I am urging you in numbers; young people, you make up 71% of our country's population; the figure looks very promising, but it is through you that we can deposit and make a real change in our country. I urge you in your thousands, through the breadth and length of our Republic, that if your cross is put at the blue team, if you put your cross at Venaani and PDM, your future is secured. If you want to cruise nicely to those young ones who know the Gen Z language I am using now, if you want to cruise very nicely, you must cruise with PDM."

PDM promised to implement universal health primary care and committed to constructing state-of-the-art sports facilities across the country.
