The Swapo Party Vice President agrees that Namibia's population is too small for its citizens to be struggling as much as is the current case. 
 
Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, who is also the party's presidential candidate, addressed the youth around effective resource management and youth empowerment as pillars of the country's sustainable development. 

Nandi Ndaitwah was speaking on the theme, Unity in Diversity: Natural Resources Beneficiaries and Youth Empowerment for Sustainable Development.

During the gathering, which drew a significant youth presence, the Vice President pointed out that the issue facing Namibia is not a lack of resources but rather how these resources are utilised to improve the lives of the nation.

Nandi-Ndaitwah suggested that the ruling party's campaign theme should be considered a "living document" that serves as a blueprint for Namibia's sustainable development.

She called on the youth to actively participate in shaping the country's future by becoming stakeholders in the management of its resources.

The discussions were facilitated by Ephraim Nekongo, Hamis Kiggun from Uganda, Dr. Elija Tjitunga Ngurare, and the young panellist, Fenny Tutjavi. 

Tutjavi initiated the dialogue by sharing how Swapo has influenced and shaped her personal journey.

A 40-year-old Ugandan millionaire, Hamis Kiggundu, was invited by the Vice President to motivate the youth in entrepreneurial thinking and encourage a shift in mindset. 

The event underlined the critical role of youth in addressing the nation's challenges.
