Former nbc employee Kaomo Vijanda Tjombe was laid to rest at the Pionierspark cemetery by family, friends, and loved ones.

Tjombe (65) was a Radio News Editor at the national broadcaster before his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, son Katjo, and siblings.

In a special tribute at the funeral, Katjo described his father as a loving family man who assisted some of the family members to complete school. A man who believed in equality and a man of conviction.

His speech was read on his behalf by his cousin Himee Kavari.
