Vice President of Namibia, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, has urged parents to instill discipline in their children.
She made this statement while accepting patronage of Oshela Senior Secondary School in the Okongo Constituency, alongside former MP Daniel Kashikola.
In her acceptance speech, she acknowledged the responsibility that comes with their roles as patrons and pledged to fulfil their commitments with dedication, aiming to contribute to the growth and development of the school.
The patrons have initiated a project to construct a boundary wall for the school.
Nandi-Ndaitwah also encouraged learners to study diligently and perform well in the upcoming national examinations. She emphasised the importance of parents instilling discipline in their children, highlighting that education begins at home.
Oshela Senior Secondary School Principal, Simon Shilongo, noted that the school requires assistance with infrastructure development.
Located 100 kilometers east of Eenhana, the school serves 856 learners and employs 40 teachers.
