The Electoral Commission of Namibia's (ECN) Election Officer, Jejamaije Mujoro, says all logistical arrangements are in place for tomorrow's special voting in the ||Kharas Region.

"We are ready. We're on our toes. As you see in the background, all the polling officials who attended training at Keetmanshoop are ready to dispatch to the two polling points. We have three polling points for the ||Kharas Region: ǃNamiǂNûs, Oranjemund, and Keetmanshoop Urban. And all logistics are in order. We have returning officers for both Oranjemund and ǃNamiǂNûs, already set to go; they are there already."

Mujoro encouraged eligible voters to exercise their democratic right, come tomorrow.

"I am just calling on the sea-going personnel out there in Oranjemund, Luderitz, or even in the Erongo Region to go out and vote because this day was made special for them to be able to have access as they would be in different sea waters, oceans, wherever they'll find themselves on duty to be able to cast their votes tomorrow. So, I am urging the law enforcement, correctional service, defence, and police officers to go out and vote tomorrow."

Mujoro would not speculate on how many registered voters are expected to cast their votes, as only law enforcement officers and sea-going officers, who will be on duty during the general elections on November 27, will cast their votes.
