It is all systems go for tomorrow's special voting in the Oshana and Omusati regions.
The Electoral Commission of Namibia's (ECN) Regional Electoral Officer Amon-Oiva Haimbangu for the two regions informed nbc News team that they are ready, come tomorrow.
Haimbangu said his region has all the sensitive and nonsensitive voting materials, which include ballot papers and tablets for verification.
Teams were dispatched from Oshakati police station this afternoon in concurrence with the handover of election materials.
Special voting in the Oshana Region will be led by seven officials per team who will be deployed at two polling stations in the region, namely the Oshakati Police Station in Oshakati-West and Oluno Community Hall in Ondangwa Urban Constituency.
"I am just urging eligible voters to make use of the opportunity afforded to them because come the 27th of November we do not want to have people who are saying because I am uniformed I should go to the front of the queue. You have your day tomorrow; please make use of it, and the general public just to be cautioned that they are not allowed to vote tomorrow, whether you are travelling abroad or anything related to that. As long as you are not a member of the armed personnel, you are not allowed to come and vote tomorrow, so just be patient; we are ready for you on the 27th of November."
ECN Electoral Officer for Omusati Region, Elizabeth Shiningayamwe, indicated her region's readiness for tomorrow's special voting.
Sensitive and non-sensitive election material was dispatched this afternoon from the Outapi Police station.
There are two polling stations: the Outapi police headquarters in the Outapi constituency and the Naango location in the Ruacana constituency.
