The Elenga Enene of Uukolonkadhi Traditional Authority, Daniel Shooya, was buried at Omuthitu Gwatshishele cemetery, Onesi constituency, in the Omusati Region.

Shooya died at his homestead on October 31.

Speakers who gave their condolences at his memorial service described him as a humble people's person who welcomed strangers into his house and fed them.

He also accommodated and fed ex-PLAN combatants during the liberation struggle.

Shooya, who died at the age of 100, has served the Uukolonkadhi community for nearly 4 decades.
