President-elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has pledged to fulfil her campaign promises following her decisive victory in the 2024 presidential election, securing 638,560 votes.
Speaking at the Election Commission of Namibia’s results centre on Tuesday, she reaffirmed her commitment to the Namibian people. “Our promises are not just words but a mandate for action,” she said.
Nandi-Ndaitwah also expressed gratitude to the Namibian people for voting for peace, stability, and unity.
She emphasised commitments to youth empowerment and sustainable development through economic transformation. Reflecting on the legacy of the late Dr. Hage Geingob, she assured voters that her team would fulfil their promises.
Nandi-Ndaitwah thanked the nation for their trust and confidence in her leadership.
Nandi-Ndaitwah was declared as the 5th president of the country on Tuesday night; she will take the Presidential oath on March 21, 2025.
