The votes scored by all presidential candidates of the various political parties vary, with two top candidates outperforming their party candidates by wide margins of above 40,000.
One candidate among the top five has been outperformed by his party by 52,000 votes.
The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) released the final results on Tuesday night, with the Swapo candidate, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, taking 57.69% of the total vote.
She has scored more votes than her party, which won the National Assembly vote by 53% compared to Ndaitwah's 57.69%, amounting to more than a 61,000 difference in the vote.
Independent Patriots for Change also scored far less in the National Assembly contest than its presidential candidate, Dr. Panduleni Itula.
Dr. Itula came in second place in the presidential race with more than 61,000 votes compared to IPC's 220,000 votes.
Another striking difference in votes between the presidential candidate and the party is that of Dr. Job Amupanda, who has more than 52,000 votes less than the Affirmative Repositioning Movement.
In the presidential race, Dr. Amupanda garnered 19,000 votes, while AR has just above 72,000 votes.
The margin of difference between LPM's Bernadus Swartbooi and PDM's McHenry Venaani and their parties is 5,814 and about 4,500 votes, respectively.
Dr. Itula took second place in the presidential race, followed by Venaani, Swartbooi, and Dr. Amupanda.
