Many small business owners plan to keep working during the holidays because they know how hard it is to stick to tight budgets in January.

Despite business being slow for vendors operating in the parking lot of Central Town near Shoprite, many here intend to stay put over the festive season to soak up every last penny, with hopes to earn enough to survive January expenses. 

They further highlighted the importance of budgeting throughout the year to ensure financial stability and sustainably meet family needs.

They also bemoaned the harsh conditions some vendors operate in, particularly those who work in the sun without proper protection and are at further risk of removal from their selling areas by the authorities.
