The Tses Village Council has taken significant steps to enhance services for its residents by partnering with an Austrian non-governmental organisation, Theodor Group.
This collaboration aims to improve community welfare and infrastructure development within the village.
The partnership with Theodor Group on projects such as brick making, community gardening, baking, and poultry farming has supported the Tses Village Council in its efforts to provide decent housing for residents, improving living conditions within the community.
Through these initiatives, the village council is better positioned to meet the housing needs of its population while fostering sustainable development.
Chief Executive Officer at Tses Village Council, Frits Christian, said, "We have a brickmaking project. These bricks that volunteer people are making, they construct houses for themselves. We have managed to build 12 houses for the poorest of the poor."
Christian also stated that they have successfully renovated a dilapidated government building to serve as a kindergarten.
The CEO further noted that eggs from the poultry project are supplied to two kindergartens in the village.
Additionally, the village council, in collaboration with Theodor Group, is providing bakery equipment to support the school hostel, with products sold at a price of fourteen dollars.
"We have a community garden where vegetables are grown there for the kindergarten. We do not want bread to be brought to Tses and sold at an expensive price."
