The City of Windhoek will host the New Year's bash tomorrow in the Central Business District along Independence Avenue.

The festivities will start at 12 o'clock in the afternoon.

The New Year's bash will feature performances from various artists, food stalls with local cuisines, and fireworks.

The fireworks will take place at midnight for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Public Relations Officer at the City of Windhoek, Harold Akwenye, says that the music lineup will accommodate all residents and visitors alike.

The parking lot in front of the municipality as well as part of Independence Avenue will be closed off as a result.

Members of the public will not be permitted to bring alcohol.

Akwenye also urged members of the public not to leave their property unattended.
