Christo Bessinger (66) appeared in the Katutura Magistrate's Court today.
Bessinger made comments on a flight at Hosea Kutako International Airport on Tuesday afternoon that amounted to a bomb threat.
He was granted bail of N$5,000, and the case was postponed to March 11.
The Namibia Airports Company confirmed a security breach at the airport on Tuesday, which halted all operations.
Bessinger was a passenger on a departing regional flight.
Dan Kamati of the Namibia Airports Company stated at the time that all necessary security protocols were activated, which included the involvement of the Namibian Police bomb squad.
Following the swift action by stakeholders, the flight was cleared, and the airport was reopened for normal operations, said Kamati.
