Swakopmund mayor Blasius !Goraseb says it is essential to ensure that all individuals have equal access to digital benefits and promote social integration.

!Goraseb made this statement during the donation of 20 computers and two printers by Langer Heinrich Uranium Mine to the Mondesa Community Library in Swakopmund.

Blasius !Goraseb says that libraries play a crucial role in advancing digital inclusion by facilitating access to information and technology, thereby empowering individuals and communities.

!Goraseb says that these technologies will enhance learning experiences, expose students to digital literacy, and prepare them for the technological demands of the modern world.

This donation will therefore improve access to technology, educational advancements, skill development, and personal growth within the Mondesa community.

"This facility offers not only a well-resourced library but also access to the internet through the provision of WiFi, ensuring that our youth have the tools to thrive in this digital age. The library serves as a vital resource where users rely heavily on computers for research, job searches, educational activities, and access to online resources. However, we were faced with a significant challenge as 80% of our computers were outdated, malfunctioning, and unable to meet current technological standards, creating a pressing need for upgraded resources to better serve our community."

The Managing Director of Lenger Heinrich Uranium Mine, Johan Roux, says that the donation is set to empower the Mondesa community by enhancing access to technology and providing valuable resources for education, skill development, and personal growth.
