|Khomas Regional Councillors visited the Samora Machel Constituency to assess service delivery progress at Farm 508.

Councillors of the |Khomas Regional Council, along with Chief Regional Officer Clement Mafwila, visited the area to evaluate progress following the awarding of the tender two weeks ago.

Mafwila stated that the servicing of the Health Centre and Police Station plots is progressing, although the contractors on site have faced challenges in fencing off the area.

"This area here is now the plot for the construction of the clinic; it extends around here and goes a long way down there, which goes up there and that way. The Ministry has designated this spot for the prefab clinic. We have a timeline of three months, so we need the cooperation of everyone, including the neighbours who are here, and we have registered this case with the City of Windhoek."

Mafwila pointed out that residents must ensure that the contractors have access to the area to facilitate the smooth progress of the project.

Speaking to nbc News, contractor Erastus Henock mentioned that he has encountered challenges during the project development.

"People from this area have expressed concerns about how to relocate them, as there has been a threat that if we put up a fence, they might cut it down. They have warned us not to erect the fence until the relocation meeting is sorted out."
