City of Windhoek clears Farm 508 for affected flood victims

The City of Windhoek (CoW) has established a relocation site for flood victims at Farm 508 close to the Goreangab settlement.

The city has so far put up eight of the fifty tents donated by the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) and is busy clearing land for those who wish to set up permanent structures.

|Khomas Regional Council repairs police vehicles and renovates holding cells

As part of its efforts to enhance the standard of facilities and operational capabilities of police in the region, the |Khomas Regional Council took it upon itself to repair police vehicles as well as repaint and renovate holding cells. 

This is all being done at a cost of N$1.5 million.

|Khomas residents urged to attend boundary constituency consultations

The |Khomas Regional Council is encouraging residents and all stakeholders to attend constituency consultations currently underway for input on boundary delimitation and demarcation. 

The consultations that were postponed will now be held on June 27.

NPC rounds up NDP6 consultations

To solicit inputs that will fit into the Sixth National Development Plan (NDP6), the |Khomas Regional Council held a consultative meeting with stakeholders.

The |Khomas Region was the last region to be consulted on NDP6, covering all its ten constituencies.

The awards are meant to recognise, appreciate, and honour all those who have contributed positively to education in the region.
