The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (nbc) observed a moment of silence in honour of the late Founding President Dr. Sam Nujoma.

The management and staff from both Radio and TV headquarters were led by Board Chairperson Lazarus Jacobs in signing the condolences card that will be delivered to the Nujoma family.

Pastor John Kamati delivered a brief sermon in Studio Two during the Good Morning programme, where he described the Founding President's contributions to the country's independence as something that will never be forgotten.

In 1992, the Founding President opened the nbc office and television production centre with state-of-the-art equipment.

In his speech then, Nujoma urged the broadcaster to give prominence to issues and programmes that advance the cause of nation-building and reconciliation.
