The National Heritage Conservation Commission (NHCC) in Zambia has started a process of turning facilities that were used by Dr. Sam Nuyoma during the liberation struggle in Zambia into national monument sites.

Kagosi Mwamulowe, the acting Executive Director of the Commission, emphasised the importance of integrating Dr. Nuyoma's adventures into African history through physical sites.

Meanwhile, the leader of Zambia's opposition Party of National Unity and Progress (PNUP), Haivee Hamududu, plied his professional trade in Namibia for nine years.

Hamududu is one of the founders of the International University of Management (IUM) in Namibia. and eulogised Dr. Nuyoma.
