First Lady Sustjie Mbumba, outgoing President of the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD), delivered her final remarks at the 29th General Assembly’s Open Session in Addis Ababa.
"As I transition from the helm of OAFLAD’s leadership, I do so with immense gratitude for your support over the past year,” Mbumba said.
She also highlighted the enduring camaraderie among the First Ladies, "Ours is a sisterhood that extends beyond our terms as First Ladies. It is a bond that we can, and must, use to influence the trajectory of our continent for the good of the people we serve."
The event was held alongside the African Union Summit, further realising OAFLAD’s mission to advance development and equality across the continent.
