During the Hardap Region's memorial service, former Minister of Poverty Eradication Zephania Kameeta has urged the Namibian nation to honour the late Founding President''s legacy by shunning tribalism.
Kameeta praised Nujoma for prioritising humanity above everything else, pointing to his inclusivity by appointing individuals across all races to ministerial portfolios after independence.
He cautioned Namibians not to be blinded by the wrongs committed then, but to focus on strengthening and ensuring that Namibia embodies values of positivity and unity.
Various political party representatives, liberation struggle veterans and traditional leaders also paid tribute to the late revered statesman.
The mourners also laid wreaths in honour of the late Founding President of the Namibian nation.
