
March 10th marks the annual celebration of Commonwealth Day.
Today, residents of Commonwealth countries in Namibia gathered at the Parliament Gardens in Windhoek to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the Commonwealth.
This day recognizes the significant achievements of Commonwealth nations over the past 76 years in promoting unity, peace, democracy, and prosperity.
It also highlights the importance of fostering strong communities that enable collaboration among Commonwealth nations on shared goals that benefit their citizens.
Currently, the Commonwealth consists of 56 countries and is represented by 2.5 billion people worldwide.
King Charles III's speech was delivered by Prof. Peter Katjavivi, Speaker of the National Assembly, in Windhoek.
