Farmers in Otjinene have received a much-needed boost to support their livestock and livelihoods after the Otjinene Constituency Office, through the Farmers Support Programme, donated 150 goats to local farmers.

Speaking at the handover, Otjinene Councillor Erwin Katjizeu emphasised that the initiative aims to empower hard-working local farmers.

Katjizeu added that the project remains one of the long-term sources of income, and it is expected from all the beneficiaries to go the extra mile in maintaining the livestock.

"You know that agriculture, especially livestock farming, is a key area of potential in our communities. By providing these goats, we are not just supporting your needs but also helping you create long-term, reliable sources of income as they multiply. So, your opportunity for economic growth is through the sale of milk, meat, or even young goats. This initiative aims to uplift our farmers, entrepreneurs, and households across the Otjinene constituency."

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the donations.
