The Governor of the Erongo Region, Neville Andre, has expressed his sadness during Namibia's first independence celebration without the physical presence of the Founding President Sam Nujoma.

Despite his absence, Governor Andre emphasised that Dr. Nujoma's legacy remains an enduring source of inspiration for Namibians.

Governor Andre said that Dr. Nujoma's vision of unity, hard work, and a positive outlook on the future is the foundation that will continue to guide the nation.

It is these principles, Andre adds, that should propel Namibia forward as the nation navigates new challenges and seize opportunities in its journey toward progress.

The late Dr Nujoma, who played a pivotal role in Namibia's liberation struggle, is widely regarded as a symbol of resilience and nation-building.

The late Founding Father of the Namibian nation died on the 8th of February.

Governor Andre urged all Namibians to continue working together, echoing Dr. Nujoma's enduring call for unity and national pride, and to stay focused on the path toward a brighter and more prosperous future for all.
