Employees at the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology welcomed Emma Theofelus, the reappointed minister, earlier this morning.
Theofelus bid farewell to the ministry and its employees on Friday in a message posted on social media. However, President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah reappointed Theofelus along with the rest of the cabinet ministers on Saturday.
Dr. Hage Geingob appointed Emma Theofelus in 2020 as a deputy minister of MICT, from which she was elevated to a full-on minister by President Nangolo Mbumba after the passing of Dr Geingob. She served for 13 months before President Nandi-Ndaitwah reappointed her for the next five years as minister.
